Dr. Julie Bindeman is a national authority on psychological treatment related to reproductive challenges including infertility, pregnancy loss, and post-partum issues. She is the co-founder of Integrative Therapy of Greater Washington, a private practice in Washington, DC.
Driven to help people with their personal journeys to parenthood as a result of her own experiences, she knows the importance of being able to heal so that losses become PART of who we are, not ALL of who we are.
Dr. Julie graduated from George Washington University with a doctorate in clinical psychology. She has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient mental health, private practices, schools, and Universities and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Maryland Psychological Association since 2008. She is the author of a chapter in Prenatal and Preimplantation Diagnosis: The Burden of Choice.
In addition to her focus on reproductive psychology, Dr. Julie has taught at several universities including Marymount, Johns Hopkins, and Loyola. She provides professional consultation, delivers workshops, gives community talks, and writes. She is currently writing a book titled “Pregnancies Interrupted” and maintains several blogs focused on parenting and reproduction.
