Marsha Hurwitz is currently the Chief Operating Officer for the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund of San Francisco. Hurwitz spent the last 10 years as CEO and President of the Jewish Community Federation of Columbus. During that time, she chaired and served on many national and international philanthropic and leadership Committees and Boards.
Before Columbus, Hurwitz worked in her home state of Virginia serving as the Executive Director of the Jewish Community Federation in Richmond for six years. She also served as Acting Director of the Richmond Federation’s Endowment Fund, and held senior positions with Jewish Family Services and the Tidewater Federation. Overall, Hurwitz brings over 30 years of experience working with Jewish organizations. She received her B.S. in Nursing Home Administration from Medical College of Virginia and a Master’s degree in Gerontology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
